Meet Tammy & Woody!
Tammy Has Been Waiting for Her Turn
Tammy came to the shelter scared and unsure. But somewhere along the way, that frightened stray became the dog volunteers know today: playful, affectionate, smart, funny, and completely devoted to the people she trusts.
Tammy has a way of making people smile.
She loves fetch. She loves to run. She loves the water. And she may be one of the most committed belly-rub enthusiasts you will ever meet. Give her a little time to warm up, and Tammy’s whole personality comes out.
She is attentive, eager to engage, and already knows several commands. She has also participated in shelter playgroups and enjoys canine friends with the right introduction.
But what volunteers seem to love most about Tammy is her joy.
She can go from chasing a ball to flopping over beside you, paws in the air, waiting for another belly rub. She can turn a trip to the park into an adventure and a quiet moment into a cuddle session.
Tammy has spent too much of her life waiting.
Waiting to feel safe.
Waiting for someone to notice her.
Waiting for a home of her own.
She has already shown everyone at the shelter who she can become when she is given patience, reassurance, and love. Now she needs someone willing to give her the next chapter. Tammy doesn’t need perfection. She needs a chance.

Woody Has Waited Long Enough
For more than two years, Woody has watched people come and go.
He has watched dogs leave with new families. He has watched shelter doors open and close. And through all of it, he has kept doing what Woody does best: greeting people with that sweet face, that goofy personality, and the kind of hope that is hard to put into words. Woody once had a home. He lost it when his owner became ill, and since then, shelter life has become far too familiar.
But Woody has never stopped loving people.
He is happiest when he is out in the world with someone beside him. He loves long walks, treats, time outdoors, and especially car rides. Put him in a truck, roll down the windows, and Woody is exactly where he wants to be: going somewhere with his people.
What Woody needs now isn’t complicated.
He needs a calm home. A person who enjoys walks and drives. A quiet afternoon together. Someone who wants a loyal companion nearby. Woody would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can finally soak up the love and attention he has waited so long to call his own.
He has spent enough time being a shelter dog.
It’s time for Woody to be someone’s dog.
