Magic City K9 Partnership

DASH formed a partnership with Magic City K9 to have dogs from the shelter participate in the Magic City K9 vocational prison dog training program in Miami, FL. The dogs in the training program live full time at Everglades Correctional Institute with their inmate trainers.

The program lasts for 8 weeks.  The first goal is to pass the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen exam, then on to CCG training and even tricks. All of the dogs  spend 24/7 time with their trainers and handlers and even have one housing unit designed just for them.
